Yes. Your satellite dish is out of alignment and needs to be reaimed. Do all of your DIRECTV receivers have this issue? (If you have only one then this doesn’t apply)

Please go to Menu, Settings, Satellite, and View Signal Strength. Document the average signal strength of satellite 101. It is normal to see a few transponders with zero. Then, when done, press the ‘+’ button to be sent to satellite 99 (ca). Do the same thing you just did with 101, finding the average. Again, it’s normal to see a few zeroes. Afterwards, press the ‘+’ button and follow the same procedure (finding the average) for satellites 99 (cb), 103 (ca), and 103 (cb). Once done, you should have FIVE averages for five different satellites.

If you are tech savvy, you can likely reaim the dish yourself being that 1) It isn’t too high up and 2) You’d rather do it yourself.

There are several YouTube videos online showing how to do this. If you’d like me to cover it I can.
