Why does DIRECTV password reset send me to an AT&T site? Which login should I use on the AT&T site? My DIRECTV and my AT&T logins are different.

DirecTV is owned by AT&T. After AT&T acquired them, they moved for a unified login so it was supposed to be the same. Now with the new co-owner, the login and online features are updating again so some things are unfinished or a bit buggy still.
You may need to call customer support for assistance while the website migration is ongoing.

Directv uses ATT’s authentication system. If you are trying to reset your Directv password, provide your Directv credentials. I had to reset my Directv password not long ago, no issues being directed to the ATT site. Since my Directv and ATT accounts use the same email, now when I log in it says there are multiple accounts and directs me to select which account I’m logging into, the Directv or ATT account.
