Dtv dvr to iphone
I have an rv that we use for 4-6 months and want to watch my home dvr recorded programs remotely via iphone hotspot to Firestick. When I just signed for another year, I was told this is possible after lengthly discussion. My dvr will remain at home with Spectrum as provider. At the time we got Spectrum ATT was not available as home internet. I still do not know what options would work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Your DVR recordings will not be available on Firestick or any other device connected to a TV. The service specifically blocks that from happening.
Mobile DVR (HR44 and up) only allows you copy recordings temporarily onto a mobile device (smart phone or tablet only), and to only be viewable on that device. It blocks casting, streaming, etc. and is not available on media streaming devices, as the DirecTV app does not allow you to get a free TV on the service.
Sorry but what you want to do is not allowed by the service.

DTV dropped streaming to devices outside of the home network a couple years ago. DTV doesn't renew the contract once completed, you are month to month.

I suspect that "signing for another year" meant they accepted a 12 month agreement by getting a 12 month discount. So DirecTV didn't automatically renew them.
