Game search is blocking all local channels
Attempting fo view local channels. Get message “gamesearch in progress” them another message “gamesearch hasn’t found your program”. I am not attempting view any sports programs, I am simply trying to view local channels. How do I turn off gamesearch? I have reset the main box three times, still get the gamesearch problem.

It's a technical problem, probably with the link that takes the locals to the ground station for the HD satellites. Not your equipment. No need for a service call. Until the problem is fixed, watch the channels in SD.
Go to Settings then Display and then preferences. Set to Show All Channels. The guide will show 2 channels one for HD and one for SD. Select the SD one.

I am experiencing the same issues. I noticed that my receiver received a software update on 12/17/20. I'm wondering if this issue may be related to some feature update.

See the multiple posts on 727 errors on local channels. I suspect whatever is causing that for others is causing your game search issue.
