Intermittent Black Screen
Around April 30th I started to notice a partial or full black screen while watching Direct TV. It occurs around 20 minutes in and the black screen shows for about a second and repeats every 10 seconds. At first I thought it was my TCL TV going bad, but this isn't happening when I'm streaming Netflix. Was there a software update? What could cause this and how to fix it?

@nllankford this could be caused by a bad HDMI connection to the TV. Try using a replacement HDMI or plug the HDMI into a different input on the TV. ( i.e. HDMI 2 or HDMI 3) If this does not satisfy your issue, the receiver could be defective or there is a bad satellite signal (you would get error 771). First, try a new HDMI cord or plugging into a different input on the TV and post back here on the forum if the issue is fixed.

@detuch254 - Thanks so much for the info! I switched to the HDMI 2 (Bluetooth) and no more black screen! Now if I had just found you before I bought a new TV thinking it was going out! Oh well guess this one will go to the bedroom! Ha. Thanks again!
