Is there a way to bypass logging in through your crappy provider when using streaming services?
Great work, guys! I knew if they put their minds to it they could find a way to keep people from seeing the Super Bowl. I’ve spent more than $250 buying additional apps/logins since early last fall just to watch NFL, World Cup, college football, World Series, etc … It’s really a nice touch that FOX currently has a message on there saying, “Wanna watch the Super Bowl? No problem, just stream it.” Yeah, right. Tried that. Doesn’t work. Is there a way to bypass logging in through your provider?

This is a public forum of other customers, we haven’t done such a thing.
Do you have DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV satellite? The app is unrelated to directv so any issues with it should be brought up with FOX.
If you are unable to gain access without logging into your TV provider then you may need to setup an OTA antenna to watch the game. Plug the antenna into the TV and scan for digital channels. Depending on how close you are to the FOX broadcast towers, you may be able to pickup the signal with an indoor antenna.

I don't have an antennae and I shouldn't have to go buy one to watch a FOX affiliate. Why put a message on the unavailable channel that is a flat-out lie? You CANNOT stream the content through apps because you have to login through your provider, and my provider (DirecTV Satellite) has blocked the channel. It's deceiving and it's a lie.

@Mission_Satellite_Stinks
Going by your user name, is your Fox affiliate owned by Mission which is currently going through negotiations with DirecTV? If so, then Fox affiliate station will not allow you to watch by streaming as they are currently not providing the content to DirecTV.
A regular antenna is simply a suggestion. This would be a backup for negotiations for any of your locals. Plus you might get additional channels, such as those from a neighboring market or sub-channels, that wouldn't be available otherwise.
Sorry but this is how the TV industry is setup. And definitely why local affiliates prefer their agreement to end around the time of major sports events so they can try harder to use us customers as leverage.
DirecTV has NOT blocked the channel. They are not provided it in the first place until they come to a new carriage agreement with Mission Broadcasting. So Mission removed the feed (which is their right).

Contact your local FOX affiliate and complain to them.......if you will. Mission is saying that DTV has to pay more $$$ if they want their subscribers to have local FOX. As @Juniper stated, they are in negotiations. @detuch254 stated to get an antenna for OTA as an alternative. Or a friends home that has DISH or CABLE.

So long as Mission is in negotiations with DTV you are not allowed to stream their programing using the DTV app.
