Missing channels

Smithsonian was added to Ultimate and Premier recently. However if you have a favorites list that is not automatically updated. You need to go into your list and make sure the channel is selected.

If that doesn't fix the issue:

What model boxes?

Issue on each one?

What exactly happens? (symptoms, error message, etc.)

Try refreshing service: www.directv.com/refresh (might red button reset as well).

This channel is on my Genie DVR in my  home in FL.  We are on the road in our RV. We changed our service address to the local town so we can get locals.  That works fine.  570 is the only channel we are missing (so far) and only on the HD24 we have in our RV.  there are no 'symptons' just #570 is not in the channel listing (where I can setup custom menu list.)

Tried the 'refresh'... no change.

If your custom favorites list doesn't even show channel 570 to check/uncheck, and assuming you already tried the red button reset, then I would unplug power for a minute. Just verify coax is finger tight before turning back on. Unlike a simple reset, this dumps the guide data so it can download fresh. Usually updated within 24 hours.

Even if not showing in the guide or favorites list, I would try keying in the number manually to see if it pulls up that way.

You either have a HR24 or an H24 as there is no HD24.

You are fortunate you were able to get the service address updated. That is supposed to not be allowed anymore without a Movers order (with 12 month agreement). That address not only determines locals, but allowed sports teams, and required taxes to be paid for the account as is residential. AT&T was locking down the option to stop violations (even accidental ones) of Federal regulations.

HR24. I'll try a hard reset tomorrow (wide's watching TV right now so...)

One other thing that might affect this...

Do you have an HD/MPEG-4 receiving dish with HR24 set to HD channels? (Hide SD Duplicates in Guide HD Settings). Double checking as that channel is an HD only channel that doesn't have a SD version, like all others from 564 thru 573 (hence why that pack used to be called the HD Extra Pack as is from the early days of HD).
