That's right DIRECTV (via Satellite) offers a 24/7 sports coverage with up to 8 mini screens from select sports networks in a single view for NBA and MLB. Currently, there are only linear channels available for NHL CENTER ICE. We love the idea of a sports mix for NHL, we'll forward it to our team, so they can review and determine the next steps. Thanks but that didn't answer my question. Each night during the season There is an MLB mix channel ( channel 720 I think) which allows you to see up to 8 games on the screen, Same for NBA League pass during the season. There has never been a mix channel for NHL Center Ice during the season-could there be?

You're not going to get an answer as to "why". That is internal decisions not to share with the public. Could be a DirecTV decision, could be the NHL didn't want to bother with it, who knows.
Just something to live with unless it ever changes.
