Paused Live TV will not resume when pressing the play button on the remote.

When I am watching a show on Live TV and I pause the show...after a few seconds the TV screen will go blank (not screensaver mode) and I am not able to resume the show by pressing the play button on the remote. My only recourse is to press either the Guide button or List button and select a different program.  This is happening on both of my Genie boxes. I have rebooted the Genie boxes several times by pressing the red button. This does not fix the issue. How can this be fixed?

Are you receiving any error codes? 

What other trouble shooting steps have you taken? 

Are your batteries low and may need to be changed? 

Are you having these issues with DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV Satillete?

I reset the main tower by pushing the red button. This fixed the pause/non-resume play problem on all of the Genie boxes.
