Remote control for elderly, vision impaired

Need a simple large button remote for 92 year old with limited vision left in one eye. Will the

Sony RM-EZ4 2-Device Universal Remote with Big Buttons work with Direct TV? I am aware it would not control the DVR portion. She does not have internet access.
