ROKU TV will not play sound on Direct TV

Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked… I did the research but all of the answers I found had to do with the Roku app or DIRECTV app. This is involving a Roku TV TCL brand. On the home screen, there is no choice but the Roku menu and DIRECTV shows up as an option for live TV but when you push it and use the DIRECTV ATT TV remote, there is no sound on any channel. I have rebooted everything multiple times and checked all of the cables. I’ve also changed the audio output on the Roku menu. Channels have perfect picture and reception, just no sound. eberything else on this Roku tv (not app or stick.) Nothing works. Everything is updated software too. Please help!
