Switching from SD to HD free of charge

I am unable to locate the information that is needed for me to decide if I want to change from SD to HD.  I am receiving a 103 message for 5 channels that will be in HD in March.  Where can I find the information.  I am hearing impaired and attempted to call but could not hear/understand the associate.  I need to read it online if the link could be provided.  If this is not free of charge, I will probably not make the switch.  Thank you.

At some point all the SD channels will disappear so you will have to make the switch anyway.

I do not believe that DIRECTV has a support page with this information available.  Here is an article from a third-party about it:

If you contact them, they may be able to assist you.

DO you have HD service at your location NOW? If you're using a 18" round dish --Your DISH will need to be changed out to a Slimline. Which may cause a service charge.

Look at the top (black bar on this web page) and click the square box before the bell and start a chat.
