video player not working

Was just made to update the video player on my computer in order to watch DTV from my laptop.  Once downloaded the video player will not start even though the install was successful.  Cleared browser, cache, uninstalled version 12.0, I assume that everything.  Worked as of a week ago and now nothing.  Running the most current version of Windows, Microsoft Edge, and Chrome.  Restarted computer, restarted browser, etc.  To no avail, the selected program will show loading and eventually bounce back to "you must first load or upgrade video player screen".
