How can I use my DirecTV when we are traveling and staying in motels. Do I have to take my box with me?

An additional note. Some hotels may require logging into their Wi-Fi even if it is free. In which case you may need to go to a browser on your streaming device in order to get logged in to the hotels Wi-Fi and then once you're logged in you should be able to use your other apps. I recently faced this issue. I did not have a browser app on my streaming device but I was able to connect to my cell phone hotspot, download the browser, then once I had the browser downloaded I was able to connect to the hotel Wi-Fi and log in through the browser. Once logged in I was good to go with my other apps.
