WISH TV - INDIANAPOLIS

after more than two years - DirecTV still doesn't have one of our major local Indianapolis channels - WISH-TV Channel 8 - so it's likely (very likely) i am going to drop DirecTV and go to Xfinity.      In fact, the issue isn't even addressed in their ongoing disputes anymore - they're just gone from DirecTV's line-up permanently (two years ago).   I think i've given it enough time - it doesn't look like it's going to change.

Probably a wise decision if that's an important station for you and you can't receive it with an off-air antenna.

Most of us do not go to pay TV for our free locals. For those we still can use an over-the-air antenna (OTA) which may get additional locals within range that the provider doesn't have (like sub-channels) or possibly nearby locals that the provider is not allowed to give us based on our address.

But if you cannot pick up locals by antenna where you are at and cannot live without WISH-TV, then certainly look into other providers. Just remember, no provider is guaranteed to always have the channel you want.
