4K channels
It's nice to see that we have some 4K channels finally coming in only problem is if they will not connect until you enable hdr on your streaming device it says it appears you have a 4K device but it is not enabled that's just not true my 4K is set to SDR not HDR anyone who knows anything about anything knows HDR is garbage soon as you turn hdr on everything just looks terrible and faint always been that way would be nice if DirecTV would change this to where you don't have to have HDR enabled to watch the new 4k channels

I don't have HDR enabled and 4k channels show up on my Osprey (Gemini box)---They disappeared on me a few weeks ago. I went in and set the display to 4k screen resolution again--then turned off/back on the box and they were in the guide after that....and haven't disappeared again.

@DIRECTVhelp I'm not seeing 108 on Dtv Stream. Are you sure that's not just satellite?

Thank you for replying to my comment just try to tune into one of the 4K channels still getting the same thing will not let me watch this channel until I enable HDR any streaming app on the market that's running 4K content I can watch that content with my current video settings which is 4K SDR again you should not have to enable HDR to watch a 4K Channel

@Chiefsfan19 Must be something specific with your device. I don't have HDR enabled ...just have display set to the 4k choice and I can watch the 4k channels just fine.

Since last update on 4K Apple TV streaming device when you swipe up on the remote to bring up the recent channels and then you use your finger to swipe to the right to scroll through those channels you have to be perfect if you barely go off straight across it's picking up that you pushed up in the channels disappear this has never been this way this is from the last update hopefully they can fix that and it was the update for the DirecTV streaming app not the hardware on the streaming device definitely the app the one in the garage was doing it first came into the house and it was not doing it and then I updated the app and then it started doing it also something in the sensitivity when you swipe up for those recent channels again it's in the DirecTV app itself not the streaming device

DirecTV app on the Apple 4K TV streaming device has always been the best no other device ran better with the DirecTV app since the last update that is no longer true I don't know what they've done to it but please put it back where it was if you pause a channel and go back 5 minutes later you hit play to resume the channel to play all you hear is audio the channel is not even playing or if it does Play It's really choppy I have a 1000 download speed in 1000 upload speed my internet speed is fine the TVs are new the device is new 100% it's the last update that is completely screwed up the service there's an old saying if it's not broke don't fix it well not to be rude but you broke it please fix it put it back where it was there was nothing wrong with it
