I don't know exactly what your asking, but I will give it a try. Our living room is large and My wife and I each wanted our own DTVS remote without having to get up and hand the paired remote to the Living room box to each other to use. You either use a old DTV Satellite remote if you have one (they will work with the DTVS Box) or you can order a spare off ebay ( make sure you get one that looks just like the one you got now )pair it with your box and there you go. Now both remotes are paired to one single box.

U can also use Dtv Satellite remotes. RC73 is what my husband uses. Dtv Stream remotes (Osprey box) are also cheap on amazon (16.99)

Be aware that unlike the stock Stream device remote, "regular" DirecTV remotes only work with the device in IR mode, so they need line of sight to it.
