According to what I saw when I looked at std channels by pkg, History had no check mark (indicating a std channel) but had a $ which said something about it being an add on channel with an additional cost to get it. Or was I looking at old information?
Not a subscriber yet, but trying to research info. So I can drop sat and start streaming.
All I know is, I have Choice and the Sports Packages, since I don’t watch History I had to go to guide and view all channels to find it. It was there! Not sure if Entertainment pkg has it or not. My wife thinks we got it when I order the $14.99 Sports pkg..?
History and other A&E networks moved packages within the last year. Individual channels are not al-a-carte. You must be in the right package to have them.
Hmm the lineup shows Entertainment and up, but at least on the satellite side it was removed from that package (and the one below it). So not sure if completely up to date.
The merged (satellite and streaming) channel chart shows History and A&E explicitly as “internet only” under Entertainment. So yes, they’d be in all streaming packages, but not the lowest satellite package. (I have no idea why the distinction, but it apparently exists.)

Currently, I have the Entertainment package on DIRECTV Stream, and I have the Select package on DIRECTV satellite.
My DIRECTV stream has the history channel and the satellite package does not.
