CBS Streaming

There should be no reason that you should not be getting your local CBS station unless your local station has pulled their service because of a dispute.  This could happen with any live TV provider.  If your local channel has pulled their feed for live tv then I would call and complain to your local station, not Directv Stream as they are just trying to get their service at a fair price so that everyone does not have to pay more money in the long run for their services.

My Directv Streaming does not offer the CBS channel and posts a disclaimer stating that they are attempting to resolve the issue.  

If your husband just cannot live without CBS, then plug in a regular over-the-air (OTA) antenna. That way you get the free broadcast, including possibly other channels your pay TV provider might not have.

That or tell him to find something else to watch.
