Commercial Autoskip for a Fee
Hopefully the DirecTV CSRs that monitor this forum can pass along a suggestion to allow DVR commercial autoskip for a monthly fee. I would be willing to pay $10/month more just to have this ability.

Probably built into the agreements. Advertisers are not going to be paying channel owners if people can pay to avoid them. So DIRECTV STREAM is most likely not allowed to have such a feature. Keep in mind that DirecTV (satellite) can't even FF/REW for most On Demand (content from internet) anymore as restricted by the networks. As DIRECTV STREAM is from internet only, this is probably more solidly locked down.
Suggestion might get passed on, but I wouldn't expect anything from it other than perhaps at best a official response saying it has been passed on. Nothing beyond that as it gets tossed into the recycle bin.

Most customers would not want to pay an extra fee for something you can avoid as long as you record the show you want to watch so you can fast forward through the commercials. You would never be able to skip the commercials on live tv as they get paid for that aired content. That is also why you are stuck watching the commercials on most on-demand shows as well.
