How to add hallmarks, movies, and mystery to the ultimate package

The easiest solution is to go to the Hallmark site and subscribe. That way, if you decide to leave DirecTV Stream, you still have your favorite channels. I think it is only $4.99 with an annual plan.

If you decide to get Directv Stream then all you would have to do is add the Movies Extra Package to your lineup.  It is $5.00 extra a month and then you get your Hallmark Channels that you want and a few extra channels as well.  You said that you were trying to decide between Directv and Dish the last I knew Dish was not excepting new customers as they were hacked and still having issue getting regular programming back for their current customers but you can always go their website to make sure. Hope this helps.

Also if you get just the entertainment package it comes with the Hallmark M&M channel as well.  Always thought strange was in the basic package and the upper package but not the middle (choice) package.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is a speciality channel. For years on the satellite service it was only availalbe in the Movies Extra Pack (formally called the HD Extra Pack as from the early days of HD).

As of a few years ago, the carriage agreement updated putting the channel in Select, Entertainment, Preferred Xtra, and Premier. There was no public notice, so a very quiet update. This is the only channel from that pack to be in the main packages so far.

The streaming-only service DIRECTV STREAM has essentially the same setup for this channel for the packages it has. So available in Entertainment, Premier or the add-on Movies Extra Pack (not Select or Preferred Xtra as doesn't have those packages to begin with).

Yes this make the channel the odd one out compared to others by not being in Choice, Xtra, or Ultimate. But that is the carriage agreement reached with the channel owner.

If you have a subscription to Peacock, all 3 Hallmark channels stream live on there.  The downside is that you can't record them.

Hallmark Movies and Mystery is included in the base entertainment package. If you have Ultimate or choice you need to add the movies extra pack to get.
