LG TV and Direct TV Stream not compatible?
We have an LG Smart Tv. We were told to download the Direct TV Stream app and all should be fine. I don not understand how to download an app on the LG TV. All apps seem to be preloaded and unable to download others. Direct TV Stream works when I have the book hooked up to the TV but didn't think I should have to have a box hooked up to a smart TV.

Sorry, there is no DirecTV Stream App for LG TVs. You'll need a separate streaming device, like Roku, FireStick or the DirecTV Stream box.

Depends on the TV if it has the capability to download apps in the first place (not just DIRECTV STREAM). However, only Samsung TVs can download that specific app. Any other TVs you need a streaming device. Though I wouldn't suggest the Samsung TV app as is a poorer experience than a dedicated device for apps.
