MeTV on DirecTV?
Doing a Google search, it looks like DirecTV offered MeTV on all its plans at one time. Was it dropped? I have the Choice plan and I have not been able to find it.

METV is not offered nationally, it’s a local channel. If you don’t receive it, that’s because DIRECTV does not offer it in your market. Remember, METV is a subnet channel not primarily considered a local channel.
If you want to receive it, you should get an OTA antenna connected to the back of your TV or I believe there is also the METV app so you can stream the channel there.

Our neighbor gets meTV but it’s not available to us? How would the same market make it available to some but not all?

If you both have the exact same TV provider (DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM are not the same provider, though under the same owner), and your service address is the exact same market (zip code AND county on the account) then you should have the same locals.
Now what might cause a difference is you are on a grandfathered package. That might not allow new channels.
To sort out if you should have it:
Do you have DirecTV or DIRECTV STREAM (or an earlier name of streaming)
What is the name of the package you are on?
Zip code and County for your service address?

MeTV is now available on ch 77 choice plan or higher. It’s carried in some markets as a local channel and the ch 77 is blacked out.
