NFL pre season blackout
For what reason does a pre season NFL game need to be blacked out? I could understand this for a regular season game, but why for pre season and there being no other way to watch the game?

In the case of this game though, there's nowhere else to watch it. Blacked out on NFL Network for no apparent reason and no local channels except those in the respective markets have access to the game.

Per the NFL and team(s) they only want you to watch it if you are in the area. The TV providers, not just DIRECTV STREAM, have no say in the matter.
So out-of-market means out-of-luck. Just the reality of the situation.

Most preseason games are blcked out, because they are not part of any "package". Not a directv decision, complain to the team and the NFL.
