Returning Gemini devices

Very disappointed with Gemini. One of the devices wouldn’t connect. Today I learned it doesn’t support PiP, so I can’t watch two NFL games at once. If the phone salesman had informed me of this, I never would have signed up for Gemini. I feel I was misled. I want to revert to my Genie devices. Thank you.

We're sorry to hear about your disappointment with your current setup, @gmulls. We understand how frustrating it is when a service doesn't meet your expectations; a specialist is available to further assist, and we're sending you a DM. Rhyan, DIRECTV Community Team

Only the original Genie line (and only on the Genie itself) has Picture in Picture (PiP). Clients, be they Mini Genie or Gemini do not. So only a single box would ever have the feature.

The Genie-2 (HS17) only feeds Clients, doesn't go on a TV itself, so this doesn't have PiP as there is no Client that can use 2 tuners.

If you upgraded from a Genie to a Genie-2, you would need to do a new upgrade to go back. It would expect to have a cost as upgrades haven't had a grace period. If you had any dedicated receiver/HDDVRs in addition to the Genie, don't expect them to be orderable as they were discontinued years ago (though no PiP anyway as again, only the Genie itself has that).

If you canceled DirecTV (satellite) and ordered streaming-only with the Gemini you would have to call and discuss a reactivation option. (mention as you posted in the streaming section, not the satellite part of the forum).
