You need to download the various apps (YouTube, Disney+, Peacock, etc.) on to your streaming device (Roku, Firestick, Chromecast, etc.) and then follow the directions in the app.

If you stream DirecTV through the internet, you can use the same app.

If you have a satellite dish, you need to purchase a separate streaming device from any retailer. This will be around $40 or so. Some may be around $100 or so, but the $40 ones work just fine. Make sure it works with 4k, but the retail employee can help you there.

Short answer: You don't.

DirecTV is service by satellite. The app is for streaming what is available from DirecTV only. It is limited access to the service.

If you want to watch YouTube, download the YouTube app.

What made you think you could watch all those other services through DirecTV?

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the cable providers have methods to do so. In fact, doesn't DirecTV have a way to watch AppleTV via the DirecTV box, if billed for AppleTV via DirecTV?

So, therefore, someone might think that there'd be ways to access other apps via DirecTV.

The Gemini is the only box that can download apps like a Roku, Firestick, etc. All other satellite boxes are not built for those streaming service. And you would be using each other service's specific app as not through DirecTV itself.

Many years ago there was a integrated YouTube option, but upon launch of YouTube's paid service it was instantly discontinued.
