The App shouldn't receive any message for Power Saving. In case you are receiving that message in the App. Please let us know so we can investigate it. Natalia, DIRECTV Community Specialist
Yes I get that stupid pop up on the direct tv app, used on Firestick, happens every 3-4 hours I don't change the channel and I like to leave my tv on for my dogs to watch, while I'm out.
Need a fix to turn that notification OFF! Hate it, had to replace one of my tvs from burn in from that stupid thing coming on.
How do I turn this off? I'm using a Samsung TV and have the energy power setting turned off in the TV, but the app always gives me this message and there's nothing in the DiercTV App settings that will turn this off. It's annoying
The "Still Watching" option is turned off in the settings of the Fire Stick under "Data Usage Monitoring" I'm still getting the popup. Any other ideas?
With the Directv App on a Sony TV, there is no 'power saving' option under the 'Settings' menu - how do I turn off the 'Are you still here' from coming on?
WHY is this stupid feature "Are you still watching?" even on there? WHO the f cares if I am still watching. It's no one's business whether I change a channel or not. Someone created this feature and should be FIRED for doing it. I've had direct tv for a long time and they never cease to find ways to screw things up. I'm not using a direct tv box and apparently they can't fix it. As Joe Pesci would say "they could f up a cup of coffee"
Hi, we have Directv Streaming with the App on the Samsung 8000 series tv's and it will ask that question periodically throughout the day. Can you help?
I receive this “Are you there” every night. Did we ever figure how to turn it off? I stayed with DTV during the Disney Fiasco because I like them but this drives me nuts. Thanks,
This never happened with Hulu, ONLY with DirectTV Streaming and NOT A SINGLE PERSON at DirectTV has the answer. It's a bug with the application or a feature that is not there. I've asked this question at least five times, and the answer is "we are going to have to report it to our back office."
IT was verified as a known problem with the FireStick settings not syncing with the DirectTV popup screen, which, by the way, based on this forum, they have know about for over a year. Don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon based on their lack of responses to all the complaints they are getting.

They were able to complete that. One person responded that should fix it on the app too. Yes?

ACTUALLY BOBBY,
ITS NOT IN POWER SAVING.
If you are using a Firestick it is in the DATA USAGE MONITORING. In settings of the Firestick.
TURN OFF, Still watching
It's setup to turn off data to the firestick when your tv is off.
That's why it keeps asking you if you are there.
SO add that in there you snippy biatch.

Nope, nobody has an answer.....
Stupid feature. Burned a white box into my tv screen. Love to kick the brain that put this into the app, right up his arsehole.

The only solution? Don't use DirectTV streaming.
