You can only stream att on demand video through the att app discribed here. For computers you need to stream from the various steaming services provided by the networks themselves.
so now have to use a cell phone? And the app blows eggs. Rare that it works, and then it crashes. service people very polite but can't help - not their fault that the app blows.
Not only have they dumped the app but restrict watching online to Chrome browsers which I cannot install on my computer if I want to access my work account. Choosing between watching TV vs working remotely so I don't have to drive 45 minutes each way ATT loses. Considering switching to Comcast even though I have preferred ATT since it became available in our area.

You must be talking about another provider (DirecTV?) and NOT Uverse.
The Uverse App gives you access to live and OD programming remotely and NO watching TV on your computer.
Edit: The UV app is different than the separate AT&T WatchTV streaming service for Unlimited and More data plan for your mobile devices.
That website is for the new WatchTV streaming service for wireless (mobile) devices. https://www.attwatchtv.com/
If you’re an AT&T WatchTV and AT&T customer with a qualifying mobile data plan, you can stream most movies and shows on the WatchTV app over the AT&T wireless network without it counting against your data usage allowance.* It’s one of the many benefits of being an AT&T and WatchTV customer.
The app is working fine. I'm watching it right now.
So I’ve seen different blogs now on how ATT dances around this issue trying to deceit their customers even more. It’s simple you CAN NOT STREAM ON YOUR COMPUTER! See it’s ok to tell the truth! Not that hard! We may not like the answer but it’s the truth!
Thanks. Since ATT uverse stopped supporting desk top access, I check back every few months to see if this has changed. Hope springs eternal. Or, maybe I will change as well.

FWIW, the Uverse App doesn't work either, I always get "unavailable" when I try.
