Changing from U300 to U200 without losing some channels
I wanted to change from u300 to u200 and not lose the channels that I like. Don't care about losing the movie channels because that is what I want to happen I am trying to save money can not keep up with paying what I am paying now. A change really needs to happen with the packages that is given to us they don't fit the needs of most people and we are paying for things that we never use and that is really a waste of our money. Your packages needs to be more flexable to give us more of a choice. I tried to go to Direct TV but the signal is to weak and I live in a apartment. So this leaves me feeling trap not not satisfy at all with you.Don't know if this matters to anyone or if anyone that can make changes will ever read this at all. Hope that corporate reads this to help them stay in touch with some of us that are not happy and make some kind of changes to give us the feeling that it does matter and the company wants to keep more of us happy. Because the ones that have to anwser the phones and hear our compliants and really feel sorry for not being able to help us and still up hold the company name. Anwser the phone sometime and tell us why somethings cannot be change so we tell u some of the not so nice words that they have to hear .... Thank you Vicky Higgs

@mashack77 That's just the point, ATT wants you to have some of the channels you want in a higher package, so you'll pay for it. That won't change til a la carte choices, if they ever do.
Past two springs I've upgraded from u200 to u300 for the MLB Network to see Tigers spring training games, then back to u200. Not interested in anything else on u300. 😉

mashack77, what you're asking for is like going to the GM dealership and saying you want the features of the Cadillac (except a few) in a Chevrolet, and only pay the Chevrolet price.
The pricing model and lists of channels for U-200 and U-300 are the result of many compromises. One, most channels do want to be placed in the lowest level tier, so that the most people have it (and thus AT&T has to pay more for them). AT&T wants to have a well rounded lower level tier, but wants to make subscribers want the higher priced tiers so they'll upgrade. If all the attractive channels were in U-200, then no one would pay for the higher tiers.

But ATT seems to be the only system to have a package where you need to get stars and showtime to get non premium channels.
Now if they replaced stars and showtime with HBO.
