ignorant racist employee

So i posted yesterday asking if uverse is in negotiations with the nhl network to have the channel for their employees since every other cable provider has it except them. And i get a response from some employee who goes by the screen name My Thoughts who decided to let me know how violent the sport is and noone watched it so they wont be carrying it. He than decided to put a link on the same reply for a site that tells me what sport has (and i quote) the whitest, richest, and oldest fans... Now for one. i didn't ask if the sport was violent, i didn't ask if it was viewed more than nascar. And for the record i'm not sure if he thinks tony stewart running someone over in the middle of the track and going to court about it is violent or not. And i darn sure did not ask what sport has the whitest, richest, and oldest fans. In fact i am offended that an employee of the company that i pay $200 per month to have his service forward me such a racist link and totally get off of the subject of what i was asking. When i replied naturally i was a little aggravated so at&t decided to delete my post. So i have written them about the conduct of their employee and have not gotten a response. All i was asking was an answer to weather or not i need to start looking for other alternatives to get the 1 channel i want to watch during the hockey season. As a customer i am offended and aggravated and would like and demand a reason of why i would get treated the way that i did and why do they condone racist employees. All i want is an answer to my question and that employee fired. And for anyone that may not believe me or may say that they can not verify that this employee did this the good thing about these forums is that they send you an email when someone responds. So here it is which includes his wonderful link.

No announcement of pending negotiations, if occuring, would be public knowledge or employee knowledge. Only once a deal is completed would an announcement be made.

Considering a large percentage of call centers are located throughout the southern half of the US, and I expect a majority are female, why would they know about a violent sport with an average viewer of 500,000 (.5 million) compared to NASCAR 5.77 million with a 10:1 ratio over hockey.

I would expect he included the link as it had the female note that he made, he said nothing racist in any terms.  My thoughts gives plenty of good insight to Uverse installs (he's a prem tech), service and support. 😉

What he said was racist? What he did was give statistics and assumptions based on:

a: Where the call centers are located and who they are employed by

b: Ratings on NHL vs NASCAR

c: Demographics of where NHL is popular vs where NASCAR is popular.

When you said "none of the people that answer in the call center even know what the NHL is" He was giving you a possible reason.

If you find what he said to be racist, I feel bad for you.

Well i could really care less how you feel for me. I am not looking for a pity party. i am looking for answers on weather or not uverse is going to get up to speed with the rest of their competition and start carrying the networks that their customers are asking for. And if you don't think that their customers are asking for it than do some research. I'm sure that at&t lost a ton of customers because of this and will lose many more. i i could switch providers i would but because of the community i live in unfotunately they are the only provider possible.
