Loss of channels

AT&T has failed to properly prepare for the  anticipated end of contract negotiation with Nexstar - resulting in the loss of ABC station, a MAJOR network. This continues to happen, as in the past, when other channels were removed from the lineup - as your customers continue to pay increased costs in service. We set up another TV(purchased an antennae) that would give us this basic channel for the interim - assuming we will get the channel back at some time in the future!  I think it's time to contact other providers who can provide continuing service that we PAY for and don't get with AT&T.

Channel pulls feed during negotiations as is their right. Networks going up over the years results in higher bills for us customers. Since TV providers do not own the channels this can and does happen with all of them. Local affiliate channels are becoming more known in recent years for pulling the feed.

 

You may not like the response but it is accurate. Switching providers doesn't provide a permanent solution as TV providers deal with this all the time. Will you throw a fit and switch providers again when it happens to the new provider when it is their turn for any of the channels?

 

Use a regular antenna and pull in the local affiliates of NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS and perhaps if in the right area COMET. So want to see what is going on in the Treasure Valley, use the traditional method and just enjoy the free broadcasts.

So. This is ridiculous! This is the only nbc station here. Why not offer east coast or another option until you work this out?! There are few network programs we watch. Unfortunately, for us, the paying customer we can't watch them ( The Voice, This Is Us.., Songland..) How about the East coast option?

Directv can not offer you an alternative. FCC regulations don’t allow it.

We have lost channel 6, and fox. It looks like we are about to lose channel 2, as well. I continue to lose channels while the cost sky rockets! I will be canceling my service, soon. This is a raft of s#@t! You have the poorest customer service I have ever seen! You keep losing channels, but have no problem calling and expecting me to buy more "bumdles!" I am done with your "promises!"

contact the station owners

ask them to return the feed while negotiations go on

 

or try an antenna connected to your tv

While trying to watch tv the channel (doesn’t matter which) stops and I get a message that says “This content is not authorized”. I have read through the forums and I see answers like remove the app and replace. I have done this. I have seen where they say “restart your Apple TV. I have done that.  
Is there a fix to this issue or is it inherent to your product?

i use CBS, amazon Prime, hbo go, Fox etc and have no issues.

.....and all those apps have nothing to do with AT&T TV Now. What are you trying to watch? Live or OnDemand? Can you watch other content?

Live tv. I have not tried the dvr. The channel selection does not make a difference. I can be watching a race, football, or news channel, they all quit and give content not available.

I don't have u-verse and I've lost Fox and now NFL Network, that would show Thursday night football. I spent the money for NFL Sunday ticket because I love football.  Fox shows our local college games so I'm missing everyone since the season started.  Now I rush home to watch the Thursday night game, and it is not on.  When I try to watch on my IPAd it says my TV provider subscription does not include the correct package to watch this game.  What is going on?

because there is an nfl blackout ! I call bullcrap

settle with fox so I can watch the programming that I have paid for

Fox removing the feed to DTV doesn't change the NFL blackout rules, in market games are blacked out.

Your channel removing their feed to DTV doesn't change the NFL blackout rules, in market games are blacked out on all platforms.

I’ve had directv for the past ten years. I buy the NFL package each year. This year directv is in some “dispute” with fox. As a result, I cannot see Thursday night games, the mid day game on fox, or the game of the week Sunday evening. The games are also not available on the nfl channels that I pay extra for. What’s the deal? Dish has no problem showing the fox football games. Is it time to drop directv?
