Watching on Satellite

I live in an Independent Living facility wherein basic Direct TV is provided, but a Direct TV Remote is not provided. Do I need to purchase a DIRECT TV Remote and program it to access programs? Can I use the remotes that came with my two TV’s, one an LG and one a Toshiba? Thanks in advance.

I can watch my DirecTV Satellite Denver, CO home local channels while travelling in Tucson, AZ for about 24 hours after I sign in to stream DirecTV on a Roku.
