My uverse battery thing keeps beeping. I read that I would need to get a new battery, but I'm wondering if it's possible to just go without the battery somehow. All it does is keep power for calls, i.e. to 911, if the power goes out, right? My cordless phone doesn't work when the power goes out,
The battery provides backup power when your main power goes out. Depending upon the model of RG you have, it's power supply is integrated into the battery backup, so you can't eliminate the battery without eliminating the power (which you probably do

We're moving and currently very happy with DSL. The address we're moving to has been upgraded to Uverse by previous owners. So now I'm told that I cannot keep my DSL and can only get Uverse at our new address. Thanks for any feedback.
If the VRAD servicing your new house location has been upgraded to support U-Verse, the older equipment for supporting DSL would have been removed, or scheduled to be removed, so you would need to subscribe to U-Verse service to get HSI there. Is the
