DIRECTV dropping OANN?

You can get OAN on Klowd TV for $99 per year!

I have KloudTV with OAN for $2.50/mo. You can get OAN+ For free from them but it’s not live TV.

I would hold off canceling service until April and also call and ask for customer loyalty and tell them if OAN is dropped what you will do.  

$99 per year with Klowd is better than $169 per month with Directv.  I never watched much of what Directv had except for OAN and given they are dropping OAN it was time to move on.

The retention/cancellation department (also referred to as "loyalty" since it is a nice buzz word for consumers), can certainly note your reason for cancelling. But they have no control over the business decision that was already made. Waiting until April to tell them what you will do "if" it happens seems like something you could just do now.

If you want to wait for the carriage to end before you actually cancel, fair enough. But now or later doesn't seem like it will make a difference as you are just saying what you plan to do in the future either way.

It feels as if some are just grasping at straws at this point. DirecTV made the decision and so far, shows they are just following through. I hope people are actually prepared for DirecTV not changing their decision.

I am waiting to cancel as to make it very clear and have noted as I am here, my position with ATT/Directv. 

Note AT&T owns 70% of DIRECTV and also owns CNN.  I really think this is all preparing for a deal with Discovery later this year.

Retention department does not seem to care about people canceling and I don’t get the feeling they are even reporting anything up the chain after I spoke to them and canceled my service.   

KloudTV looks interesting but channel variety not so great.  I think I’m just going Antenna route for local channels, and watching OaNN, Fox Nation, and Newsmax directly through their apps.

I am very upset that you are dropping OAN. What ever happened to free speach.  OAN is a valuable asset broadcasting events that others don't.  Remember there are 80 million conservatives out there. Ask yourself how many are part of your base and how many will you lose.

So my DTV bill is $177.00 (rounded up to this nearest dollar) per month.  If they don't want my business (that is their $2124 per year loss). I really don't need this (Edited per community guidelines) but should they go through with this it will be their loss.  I am sure there are a whole lot of folk's....Some paying more some less that will bail.  This is going to get really good should they go through with this.   I would love to be in the room when they try to explain the loss of millions of dollars of su(Edited per community guidelines)criber revenue to their share holders....I HOPE THEY HAVE A VIEW OF THIS FOURM..

Been ATT and direct tv customer for years, OANN gets removed and I will be canceling everything!! That’s the only news worth watching! Would be a huge mistake for att

Drop OAN News and you lose me as a decade long customer. At&T Management  keeps your  politucs out.

As long as the mindless media has something bigger to report on the spotlight isn’t so bright.

Is this decision already made or are you in negotiations with OANN?  We are long time ATT / DTV customers, paying a lot of money each month, and we are looking at other options as we will cancel both if you censor OANN.  There are several channels in our package that we don't agree with, and don't watch, but we would never demand you censor them from being offered to those who want to watch them.
