DIRECTV dropping OANN?

This is not a question. This is a demand that DirecTV NOT cancel OAN Network! Removing a channel that AT&T considers a "Far Right Station" brings us one step closer to a communist society.  What about the "Far Left Stations"?

Are you paying attention to what's going on out there?  This is your golden opportunity to make bank on your TV service.  ATT DTV is dropping One America News (OAN).  Millions of us are threatening to, and executing, our exit from their service because of this.   ATT has buckled under too much pressure from the left; NAACP, dems, etc...  They are shooting themselves in the foot.  OAN is on the right side of history and those who blindly cower and obey the loudest fool in the room will pay the price very soon, and BIG LEAGUE! 

OANN is a true old school newsroom with outstanding journalists.  They will be off air come April and hundreds of thousands, maybe, millions of us are looking for a new TV home.  Will you PLEASE consider adding OANN to your channel lineup?  The reason I left your TV service is because you did not carry OANN.  I, WE, want to come back.

If you pick them up, you'll be:

1)  Improving the world by allowing truth and real news to continue flowing to all of us.

2)  Upholding the US Constitution: "First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition", unlike other networks who are censoring and rewriting and omitting information and important news to appease the far left's agenda.  ATT is breaking the one Amendment that allows them to be on air.  How can they turn their backs on the very amendment that protects them and censor real, journalism from millions of US citizens?  And now they are lying about why they are dropping OANN.  It is not a business decision. There are news articles about who has beat them over the head with, I don't know what kind of threats, i.e. NAACP, Move-On.org, and others.  Look it up, please.

3)  You would be positioning yourself on the right side of history when this approaching civil war implodes on the liberals' vicious lying, censoring, law-breaking, insane agenda and power grab.  You'll be sitting pretty and very respected for standing up for our Constitution, which is being tossed aside, line by line. 

4)  Rich !!, as we all flock to your TV service. 

Please watch OAN before they get dragged off the air.  They are an amazing, truthful, factual group of journalists who can see, just like all of us, what's going on around us.  Virginia Governor's race is one early example of things to come.   Please consider this decision and know that you'd be maintaining America’s majority of news consumers favorite news network and keep it from being censored off the planet.  I speak for a few hundred folks with this message to you.  We've been scratching our heads on how to save OANN.  And PLEASE do it fast!!  I, and hundreds of thousands will join you if you pick up OANN.  THAT'S A PROMISE.  Thank You, Spectrum............Patteee! Yeah, they just cut off their own revenue.  I get it, they do not care.  But we people who believe in freedom will find the ways to listen to our news.  And the trolls in this forum that love posting "go ahead and leave", when they lose our business, they will increase your rates!  So, along with paying more for gas, food, and medical, you can add that to your yearly increases.  We will end up paying less to combat FJB and the dictatorship.  Happy TV entertainment!

We contacted DirecTV customer service, making sure it was being recorded, and explained that we will be leaving DirecTV if OANN is dropped. We also explained that many in this forum are leaving DirecTV or have already left. 

They tried to keep us by offering other channels and discounts but we made it clear to them we are leaving because they are dropping OAN from their lineup...nothing else.

Please call DirecTV and make your decision very clear to them. 

     The commy crybabies, who’s letters to DirectV caused OANN to NOT be renewed, do not want truthful news to be reported!  That means, that you don’t want truthful reporting!

     The news networks that constantly provide false information on election intrigue, the CCP Virus  and most everything else are CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and CBS!  When you remove those untruthful forums, I will once again trust you as a provider!  Not until!

Great to see so many Americans speaking up. I see some can’t wait and have either left DTV or will soon but please WAIT UNTIL APRIL. 

For DTV to see a huge revenue drop coincident with their dropping OAN maybe they’ll consider a new contract.

We will drop all ATT services as well as DTV but we’re waiting until April. Meanwhile we’re lining up our plan for internet, streaming, local channels. Choices for us are limited since we’re pretty rural. We’ll be ready come April. 

Would like to inform DirecTV management that I will be cancelling my DTV service if OAN is dropped. I am a long time customer (was a Hughes Communications Inc employee) and was involved in the development of the DirecTV service/company and rollout in early-mid '90's. So sad to see DirecTV silencing free speech and (Edited per community guidelines) programming. 

Thank you so much for your comments concerning OANN! Last year, I signed a 2-year contract with DirecTV. It ends in September. It seems that they have broken their contract with me since one of the reasons I went with them is because they were carrying OANN and NewsMax.

What are they afraid of? I could understand them dropping OANN if the ratings were low, or if they were spouting hate-speech. To me, their coverage is straight-forward and to the point. I am not afraid of MSNBC and CNN. Let them spout their biased information as they like, they do not openly dispel hate-speech, so let their ratings go in the direction of their followers. Let them thrive, if they will! But also allow other points of view thrive as well.

I once heard Denzel Washington make the following comment that has stuck with me, "If you don't watch the news, you are misinformed. If you do watch the news, you are disinformed."

I believe that DirecTV commented back to me that I will be able to get OANN via other free streaming services. I'm sure that there are other streaming services that I can use for all of my media choices. I may just bite the bullet and pay my $90 pull-out fee to DirecTV and look for services that do not force their biases on their customers.

Contract is not broken. No TV provider guarantees any channel will be there the length of your service agreement. As such they each have a clause in their Terms of Service that channels/programming may change at any time.

(d)Our Programming Changes.Many factors affect the availability, cost and quality of programming and may influence the decision to raise prices and the amount of any increase. These include, among others, programming and other costs, consumer demand, market and shareholder expectations, and changing business conditions. Accordingly, we reserve the unrestricted right to change, rearrange, add or delete our programming packages, the selections in those packages, our prices, technologies used to deliver the Service, and any other Service we offer, at any time.

And if you got a 2-year contract last year (Sept 2021), then it wouldn't end this September (2022) as you made it sound, but the next one (Sept 2023). Just clarifying so you aren't surprised by the ECF if you only cancel halfway through.

After my DIRECTV did not renew following me canceling them, I’ve experienced what the competitive market offers and I can assure you all AT&T / DIRECTV is far over priced for a cancel culture media network and the services they offer.  

I’ve been on VUTV+ for 3 days now and am really impressed by their large selection (98 channels) of diverse content for only $15.95.  There is everything from news that covers all politcal spectrums (Newsmax, OANN, CNN, BBC, MSNBC, Fox, Infowars, etc), sports, national networks (CBS, Fox, PBS, NBC, etc), Entertainment (Discovery, History, Animal Planet, Hallmark Channel, A&E, etc), Lifestyle (HGTV, Food network, outdoor channel, etc), Christian channels (too many to name), and  children's channels.  There is still some kinks just like we experienced as the early adopters of AT&T stream but all and all it works and they are making it even better every day.  I highly recommend and am so happy DIRECTV motivated me to shop around.  Thank you to the crooked executives over at AT&T / DIRECTV for getting us to realize how horrible of a company you are. 

My recommendation is to cancel now just like DIRECTV canceled the American people with the OANN fiasco. 

I too will drop DirecTV, ATT wireless and my ATT Universal Credit card if you go through with dropping OANN. I have been with ATT for almost 20 years and this decision to drop OANN is reprehensible. It represents the squashing of non-mainstream media and like Abiispirit says bows down to the woke cancel culture. Why can't corporations keep out of politics and concentrate on supporting customers and shareholders?
