DIRECTV dropping OANN?

How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN?  They do not lie!  The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives!  My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

OAN, Newsmax, Fox, etc will be the first to be cancelled but this is only an indicator of what will follow by way of censorship covering all of TV channels.

Anyone, other than me, upset that DirecTv is dropping the OAN Network?

If anyone is listening from DirectTV or AT&T Management? If you are, you may wish to recount what happened to (Edited per community guidelines)'s Sporting Goods, when the CEO Edward Stack decided to change to a (Edited per community guidelines)-invoked minority policy. They lost a quarter of a billion dollars and had to close stores. Mr. Stack is no longer with (Edited per community guidelines)'s Sporting goods.

DirectTV and AT&T management, are you also considering dropping NewsMax and FoxNews?

Customers of DirectTV do  have other viewing options and if  you , the management,  have been reading these comments in this forum, you know where these policies will lead;  Lost and '(Edited per community guidelines) off' customers who will never support your product again and will encourage others to do the same. The United States is over 50% (Edited per community guidelines); do the math.

If there are Board of Director members reading these comments and still thinking that dropping One America News as a great business decision, then I question your business ethics not to mention your 'smarts'.

My reference was to "D .... Sporting Goods" ... and Mr. Stack as the CEO.

Not sure why "D...K's" was edited out .. a computer 'bad' word .. ha ha.

CEO Stack was bowing-down to a WOK 'L...t-Wing' pressure. So obvious and transparent.

This post is a re-send to remove 'edited-out' comments .. you can all guess .. :-)

To All. Look what just happened within the Cincinatti Bell region. The just cancelled 'News...M.x', one of their highest viewed networks. Search the .coms for more info.

DirectTv and also cancell any 'conser..' station in addition to OANN.  This is just a test on how far we let them go.

This all stems from the letter dated February 22, 2021 to John Stankey, CEO of AT&T from Congress members Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerney.

The letter begins:

"Our country’s public discourse is plagued by misinformation, disinformation, conspiracy theories,
and lies."

And ends with:

"Are you planning to continue carrying Fox News, Newsmax, and OANN on U-verse,
DirecTV, and AT&T TV both now and beyond any contract renewal date? If so, why?"

We called DirecTV to let them know we will be cancelling our subscription to DirecTV when OANN is terminated.

I read that Direct Tv plans to cancel the One America News channel. Is that correct?

Post from @johnspe and @Catskills_Dan show exactly why the cancellation of OAN from a major carrier like DIRECTV is so important to protest and bring to the attention of every caring American.  Figures from the far left are preparing to use there own misinformation from media networks they control in attempt to brainwash the country before the upcoming midterm elections.  Mark my word; Newsmax will be next, possibly Fox, and many other Media giants will follow DIRECTVs lead.   The is all an attempt to bankrupt news networks the woke left does not agree with.

Time to vote with your pocketbook now and be sure to get everyone you know to the polls in November.  If we don’t save this country by next election, it will become communist in the not too distant future.

When does the One America News contract expire and the channel cease to exist? I will be canceling Direct Tv on the same day that OAN is dropped.

When we spoke to the associate at DirecTV we insisted that they make sure to have management look at these posts, that this is money DirecTV is loosing.

There are not too many companies that I know of that want to lose money.

We can do without DirecTV but to be honest, we like it.

Don't listen to Juniper or Constructive. They're not here to help.

Call DirecTV if you want them to hear you.

🤦‍♂️@Juniper  apparently were don’t have the right to voice our opinion. Time to shut this thread down

@Catskills_Dan

This thread is for all of us to discuss the situation. Doesn't have to be the "help" you want. Free country means differing opinions and perspectives, deal with it.

I doubt agents over the phone have much influence over what management does. I would expect that they have some way to track trends on accounts for people calling in, so the call wasn't exactly worthless. But doesn't seem like situation is changing.

@Catskills_Dan I had the same issue when I called DIRECTV twice on matter (last was to cancel).  The agents were courteous but would make no commitment to let those above them know why I was canceling my services.  It very much felt like they thought I was crazy for canceling over OAN and the principle of the matter.
