Gemini streaming box

I am in pursuit of buying a Gemini streaming box. I have 6 tvs and the first one is free.  In order to use it I must sign a two year contract and pay 7$ a month for 5 tvs. I would rather purchase.
Is there a model number for the Gemini?

Actually I want the Gemini just to put in a channel number. It so much easier than a Roku remote. Especially for my wife.
Why is this using numbers so hard  to get?

Infuriating!

With DirecTV you pay $7 for each additional TV, no matter what box is used (or even no box if it is an RVU Client TV). DirecTV (satellite) did away with purchase to own options years ago, but even then there was no difference in monthly cost between customer or DirecTV owned boxes.

Any purchase to own Geminis are not for DirecTV but DIRECTV STREAM which is a separate service on different firmware. They are not interchangeable.

Gemini is the C71KW, being a Client it follows the same model designation like Mini Genie Clients. And like Mini Genies, it requires a main Genie/Genie Lite/Genie-2.

Streaming devices (Roku, Firestick, etc.) have been built for browse and select specific content, not primarily to surf traditional channels. Most apps don't have channel numbers. Since DirecTV is actually a TV provider itself, their proprietary box is built for channel numbers.
