Hi there, we do not want to see you go. DIRECTV made clear to Newsmax over the past several months that it would like to continue offering their content; however, the network is now demanding significant fees that DIRECTV would have to pass on to its broad customer base. That is not an option. In order to help you with your services, please send us a DM.

Near 30 years I have had service with them. Countdown to exit now. Pitiful excuse to get rid of them. Misinformation! (Edited per community guidelines). You know good and well why you let them go and kept all the other liberal media. You will pay dearly.

@Bubbasoffi Why would DirecTV pay additional fees for a broadcaster who offers the same live content free via their own streaming app? Just download the app and enjoy.

So Very True, AT&T and Directv give lame excuses, BTW I think they made 3.5 billion in profit. if the are hurting for money I will help them out and go else where.

Not really. They are bleeding customers as a result of their loss of the NFL Sunday Ticket as well as the highering prices of traditional satellite/cable subscriptions. More people are cutting the cord each and every day, either getting rid of live TV altogether or subscribing to a cheaper streaming service like Philo TV, Sling TV, or YTTV.

DirecTV Canceled NEWSMAX. Meanwhile, DirecTV still carries 22 liberal news channels – all of them get paid license fees! DirecTV demanded that NEWSMAX receive ZERO cable license fees – even though it is the #4 cable news channel in America! And almost all of these channels have lower ratings than NEWSMAX.
Since DirecTV has chosen to cancel NEWSMAX I will chose to cancel my DirecTV service and save over $150 per month. DirecTV should remember there are plenty of other services waiting for the customers that leave DirecTV .
Called DirecTV and canceled my service. The customer service rep was very courteous and went through the offers to get me to stay. DirecTV is offering a $10 credit for NewsMax being canceled during negotiations as he put it. I was also offered a 1 year $50 discount but I told him that's not enough of a discount not cancel my service. I told him if DirecTV brings back NewsMax before my service is disconnected then I might stay....

I suspended my Directv today. I believe I've been a customer for about 30 years.
If Newsmax doesn't come back, I will call again next week and change that suspend into a "close my account permanently".
I'm tired of paying to support hundreds of channels I have no interest in while Directv decides to cancel One America News and Newsmax, and regularly hassle RFD-TV.
I could add a dozen DVDs to my collection every month for what I pay for Directv. The only reason to keep it is current news; and if they resent carrying current news, I can do without.

Not only Newsmax but OAN as well. Using a new conservative channel is NO excuse! Pay Newsmax and OAN PROPORTIONATELY to the others you do pay. Direct removes a channel after they have a(Edited per community guidelines)orbed the startup costs, and as soon as they become successful, you cancel and bring in another startup to bear the expense. Do not try to mask your suppression with (Edited per community guidelines) LIES!

DirecTV wanted to keep essentially the same carraige agreement as before with Newsmax. And their stance is by paying Newsmax what they wanted would be funding the network's change in service model. In contrast, Newsmax stood firm on their requirement and walked away from negotiations. Both acted within their rights.
With OAN, there was no negotiation. Simply announced the carriage agreement would not be renewed once it came up. That was DirecTV's right, though it would have been nice if they had clarified the reason for the decision beyond simply it occured from an "internal review".
Just because you don't like the reasons and are upset the channel is gone does not making the information lies. If you cannot function without Newsmax then you will have to find somehwere else that has it. In either case, it has been over a month since Newsmax left and about a year since OAN was told goodbye so we all move on.
