2 accounts were made for 1 service

I had directv and moved. When we moved they messed up and made a second account number. I have now canceled my directv and I have one bill saying I owe 0.00 and another bill saying that I owe 176.00. It is not my fault they messed up. It took almost 9 months for them to figure out why there were 2 accounts for one service. I had enough of spending multiple hours of my time on the phone with them. I am not paying for a second account after receiving another bill saying that I owe nothing. Yet when I call to try and straighten it out, nobody seems to get it!!! This is the biggest waste of time and I am not paying for a second account number!! I don't want this going against my credit but I'm not paying for their mess up!!!

Instead of placing a Movers order for your account a new one was created? That is account fraud as the agent scammed a new account commission.

You will need to call DirecTV to resolve this. We are just customers like yourself in this public forum. When you get the voice system say "cancel" as you will need one of their account specialists, plus they will need to cancel the fraudulent account.
