DirecTV does not group their customers. So there is no category (low income, senior citizen, disabled, etc.) discounts.
Any discounts are based on your individual account. However, in the last couple years or so those have been pulled back. DirecTV is a luxury TV service and too much was given out in discounts. So the CEO annoucned they would be limited while they addressed problematic accounts.
This means if you cannot afford service, you have 2 choices. Reduce service to within your comfortable budget or simply go without.
@mdavey we all do but unfortunately with the rising costs of fees and all like that, it’s impossible for DIRECTV to manage a discount for anyone. Additionally, customers are switching to streaming live TV services and other alternative cheaper services as we speak. With DIRECTV losing customers quickly, they can’t do anything of the sort. I’ve even heard about people who were denied discounts because of an expensive bill and told that they could just cancel their service altogether. The only sort of discount available is the free three months of premium channels (HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ, CINEMAX). Other than that, there’s nothing.

The ACP program is for cellular service or home internet service, not TV service.
