I was promised I would receive the 4 channels I said I wanted: Golf Channel, NHL, Fox News and Fox Business, Also the monthly payment quoted to me would be $85.82, no installation fee or equipment charges.
After installation I wasn't receiving the Golf Channel. Made several calls until I had a manager? He stated he could get the Golf Channel, but now I'd have to Pay $91.90. I authorized the new amount change.
On Aug. 10, 2020 I received a bill for $260.99. After several more call I was told I would receive a credit for $175.17. I received it after several more calls.
On Sept 10, received correct payment of $91.90 but I still was not receiving the Golf Channel.
Then on Oct. 10 received a bill for $268.46. Several calls later a Manager stated that a credit for $176.56 would be issued to my charge account.
After still not receiving the Golf Channel. I've now cancelled my account Cancellation #[EDITED] and returned all the equipment.
After receiving notification that the equipment had been received. I received a bill charging me $440.00 Termination fees. I have NEVER received the channels that were promised (ie: Golf Channel) or been charge correctly ($85.82). Also, during over twenty conversations with AT&T personnel I was NEVER informed verbally that I was on a 2 year contract.
As a matter of, fact the person that stated that I would receive the Golf Channel, NHL, Fox News and Fox Business, and quoted to me the price of $85.82, with no installation fee or equipment charges. Also stated that there was NO CONTRACT and I would be charged month to month.
If there was a contact that I was informed of, that contract was NEVER met. NEVER receiving the channel promised and at the price quoted.
I sent an Email to AT&T Customer Support on 11/11/20 and received an Email stated that they didn’t handle matter of billing. They stated to contact Customer Care, which I did. They said to contact Customer Support. I also tried submitting this issue to Payment Disputes. Twice NO Response was received.
Please correct this wrong and remove any charges to this account ($455.18).

This is a public forum of other customers. Never post personal info (sucha s your account number) as you give that to the entire world.
It is DirecTV not Direct TV. There is only 1 'T' in the brand.
DirecTV intro offers always come with a 24 month service agreement. This is in the advertisements as well as the order confirmation that the system sends upon requesting service. Even if the agent didn't do their job and inform you, there are other notifications for DirecTV and your protection.
The Golf channel has been in Xtra or above for many years. However I do notice the current lineups show Ultimate and up. So likely the agent quoted the channel being in the package from memory instead of seeing if there had been any changes.
AT&T doesn't use email as customer support. So either you mean the "chat" option, or you were emailing some 3rd party (not AT&T itself).
Unfortunately in the end you accepted what was on the order confirmation and the channel lineups. Even if Golf had been in the Xtra package when you started and in later months changed, that is allowed in the Terms of Service. They don't own the channels so cannot guarantee any specific channel will always be there or in a specific package. They have to negotiate with the channel owners, and sometimes that results in changes. So there is nothing disputable.
