Bad service and over billing!

Hello I canceled my direct TV because of bad service. And when I cancelled it by phone I was told by your company. That I would receive a letter on where to return the equipment . I waited and waited for the letter. Instead I receive a bill for the equipment. And I called again about this matter and have been on hold for over 3 hours of my time . I talk to a few people and they said they did not know why I was told that. All I had to do was take the equipment to a ups store or a FedEx store along with my account number . Also as a result of this experience I am thinking about cancelling my other services that I have with AT&T. This is sad that your company has made a customer feel like this. Bad service! Bad customer service! And your chat system is not very good since I guess it's a computer talking it can not read a long chat message again another waste of my time. Over 3 hours of hold and frustration is bad . Also whom do I send a bill for my time since at&t thinks that is ok to make a customer hold that long.  Very upset with this experience . Pleas have someone contact me

you cant bill at&t for your time, you called them they didnt call you thats just silly

you need to drop it off with a participating fedex or ups store,(not all are participating) make sure you have your account number and get a tracking number ,they will pack and ship it at no charge to you below are links to find a participating center, if you are more than 10 miles from a participating center then call and inform them your more than ten miles from a participating location and they will send boxes and labels.

www.fedex.com/attreturns or www.theupsstore.com/locations.

To assist our customers during this time, we?re temporarily extending the timeframe to return your DIRECTV, U-verse TV, or AT&T Internet equipment from 21 days to 60 days. Get more information here about how to locate a drop-off location and return your equipment.

What are the models of you boxes? Perhaps they are not all (if any) returnable anymore.

You don't send your bill to anyone as you cannot bill customer service for your time. Not how it works. Customer support, whether a good or bad experience, takes as long as it does.

Nobody will all you. You call them if you want to discuss your account, like the rest of us. This is a public forum of other customers so no access to your account here. But as a courtesy, here is the current return process.

How To Return The Equipment

Go to a FedEx or UPS location with your account #. No need to bring a box or label, the equipment will be boxed it up & shipped out at no charge. The process takes less than 5 minutes.
