Billed after cancelation

We canceled our DirecTv service but kept our ATT service we paid through the billing month but have now been charged another month after cancelation.

Double check the dates on the bill (for the DirecTV service itself). If the day you called to cancel is within those service dates, then it billed correctly. This is because As of January 2019 there is no proration upon cancellation anymore.

 

However if that service month started after the day you called, then that would mean the account didn't cancel. You would have to call DirecTV (not the AT&T number) and when you get the voice system say "cancel" so that you are routed directly to the cancellation department to sort this out.

Yes twice they said it looks like you are still getting billed we need to credit you but waiting for the right department taking an hour and we got disconnected the first time. No easy way to get help.
