cancel automatic pay
Direct Tv or Att the worse customer service. I just finished talking to another one. the username he insisted I had to use Embarq mail... we dont have Embarq mail for over 8 years. Does not exist. We have Gmail... All I want is cancel for GOOD the autopay. Can anyone help??? so tired of this huge companies who dont care or listen to the costumers....hundreds of people are leaving direct tv as their main priority is to get more costumers and ignored the regular and seniors.

I just posted something DirectTV/At&t same horrible customer service. These big companies only goal is to get more new subscribers with lies and ignore the regular ones especially the seniors.... Hundreds of people are leaving this company. . We are getting rid of them here an at the mountains. We are the only ones at the mountains sill with the monopoly institution. Can anyone tell me how to cancel for good the automatic pay... the inept i just talked to only gave me lies..... I cant do it.

If opting out of autopay online isn't working, or you can't even log into the account, then calling DirecTV is the option. Over the phone, regardless of the login issue, they can turn off the autopay so the rep not doing that or transferring you to a department that could wasn't right.
Remember turning off autopay doesn't cancel the account. That would be a separate request. When you call I would say "cancel" to the voice prompt as that department can handle both requests.
This is a public forum so we cannot process either, but we can provide guidance in many situations. If you would like to see about anything that could help anything going on with the existing service let us know. Otherwise, hope the next rep clears it up for you.

And just a note, like most service companies they do not prorate the final bill. So service and the billing for it go through the end of the service month as normal.
Depends on the models of each box you have if there is anything that must be returned.

If Diecttv/att would let me sign in... they dont. I changed password 3 times then my email they couldn't find it.... doesnt work.

Hopefully the forum team can get this solved by DM. If not, calling back is your option and at the very least an agent over the phone CAN turn off autopay. Follow suggestion above so one department handles it instead of multiple transfers.
