Charging for channels we did not request

We have canceled Directv after being customers for more than 20 years. I'm sick and tired of being charged for packages that we did not request. They would not even take off $16.99 for a channel we have never had before. They charged it on our last bill. We will NEVER go back to DirecTV!

The content providers package their channels to all TV providers, all DTV can do is pick the package they believe will satisfy the most customers and at times can and do change what channels are in what packages they send to their customers so you can't pick what channels you get except for a few channels that can be added for an extra fee.

Based on the amount of $16.99, this not for what channels are in the main package but an add-on? Or was it a PPV (such as ordered by remote) or something else?
