Couldn't get a hold of anyone at Direct TV to Cancel NFL Sunday Ticket trial

Hi, I couldn't access my account to cancel, and when I tried calling you all before the trial period ended, no luck and the chat didn't work.  It said you are all there until midnight M-Fr but no luck.  Now, I am being billed for something I didn't want.  Can you please assist?

One the season starts --you can not cancel Any Sports package --You may call and ask but once your billed --it's no refund --as the terms are clearly stated.

@goldw1800 The OP has to be talking about the streaming version of Sunday Ticket. There is no one week trial with the satellite version. I don’t believe the normal “start of season” rules apply with that one week trial.

Edit update: Actually the same “can’t cancel after the start of the season” rules do apply after that one week trial. You can cancel within that week but once past, you are on the hook for the rest of the season. The OP shouldn’t have waited until the last day to cancel.

@gentlet

DirecTV does not have a free week trial option for the NFL Sunday Ticket. Often the first Sunday is open to all, so a bad agent might position this as a free week trial. But once you add NFL Sunday Ticket then you are locked in once the season has started.

Perhaps you are talking about the .TV (streaming-only) version?

@Juniper The OP is definitely talking about the streaming version but technically, it’s not correct to say Directv does not have a one week trial because the streaming version does offer a one week trial and the streaming version is offered by Directv. Below are part of the offer details from the website.

One Week Free Trial: Valid for new subscribers only. Cancel before end of trial or service is automatically billed to your payment method on file....

To cancel online, visit the “My Billing Information” page on the site, click “Cancel Account,” and follow the cancellation instructions.

I've always considered the .TV version to be separate as it is for those that cannot have DirecTV. Especially since DirecTV's (satellite) NFL Sunday Ticket cannot be canceled online as you must call in. Fair enough on them being affiliated.

Though sounds like the forum should have a separate section for the .TV version to help avoid confusion.
