Customer Service

I have been receiving non stop marketing calls from DirectV marketing or sales staff, and today I asked them to stop calling my house and to take me off their calling lists (I have a very ill wife)

As I was talking to the customer Service rep, who had a heavy foreign accent ? Indian?, and asking him to stop calling my house, he told me to Go "F" myself ..........  The PHONE NUMBER being used by the DirectV rep is 603 945-4953   time 13:16 om 8/17/21

Clearly this is not a level of service or customer communications needed by Directv but when businesses farm out sales to overseas agencies this is what you get.

Just because the caller id is displaying a DTV/AT&T number doesn't mean they are calling you as caller id is easy spoofed by scammers trying to get your money.  So my guess is that person you talked to was one of them.

I wasnt saying I saw Directv on the Caller ID, the "Salesman" said he was offering a DierctV package ?

Of course you may know more than me but if he said he was working for/with DirecTv I assumed he was nt selling Dodge Rams ....

Of course they say they work for whatever company the caller ID says.

Once again you are putting words in my mouth, I never said the caller ID said DirectV it was a phone number which I put in my post. If I was to guess, id guess you work in management, perhaps HR because you seem to have a habit of wanting to put your spin on someone else's post. If you want to speak for me simply say so and I will save my breath. or better still find another person to save.

The point is that it is most likely someone pretending to be from DirecTV when it is just a scammer.

You seem to be missing the point. Whether the caller id said Directv or not, the call was almost certainly not from Directv. Even if it was a legitimate sales call and not a scam, it was likely a third party reseller.

I have never worked for DTV/AT&T although I helped in remodeling some of their facilities.
