DIRECT TV SCAM
Consumers beware I just got a call from 877-368-1845 and 877-310-1095 asking to call in to get a 50% discount if you buy EBAY gift cards. I confirmed with Direct TV this is a SCAM. DO NOT CALL BACK if you get this call about any discount. Have reported all the numbers to the FCC.

DTV sent these to all receivers,
the first two in late 2020 the last one this month.

That scam has been going on for 2+ years. On screen notices were given to warn people. Paying up front, requiring gift cards (untraceable like cash), and 50% off (way too huge a discount) are the red flags.
FCC most likely cannot do anything as these scams tend to originate overseas, so outside of America's jurisdiction.
