Directv billed through Centurylink

Has anyone had any luck getting the missing channel credit when you are being billed through another company such as Centurylink? I am getting the run around from both Directv and Centurylink.

First you try www.directvpromise.com where the offer is, along with negotiation status.

If that doesn't work then you call DirecTV and a rep can provide the one-time credit. The combined bill with CenturyLink doesn't not prevent DirecTV making any adjustments, just means they bill CenturyLink who in turn bills you for reimbursement (plus not allowed to order any adult content as against the Teloc's business morals).

Over the phone request supervisor if the front line agent still has an issue. But if still a problem after that then a BBB complaint about joint bill causing issues for adjustments/credits being applied.

Though personally I avoid joint bills as too many pitfalls. I like to read the direct bill as the joint bill partner tends to be a summary that doesn't explain anything that isn't theirs.

Thank you. I tried the directvpromise site and it vereified the outage but then it just sent me to my directv account. I will give them a call first thing tomorrow and see how that works out.

Thanks again

You're welcome. Joint bill does tend to result in calling to manage the account more often instead of self-help online. Be prepared for some long hold times as many are calling about the current situation, in addition to the normal daily calls.

Good luck.
