Once it's been sent to Collections it's probably too late to argue your case. Of course, we're all customers here, not official support. You'll need to call DirecTV. You can also try complaining with the BBB and your state Attorney General. Good luck.

I don't think you can. The whole point of going into Collections is that you have an unpaid balance.
